Laptop/LCD Backlight Inverter Pinout


LCD screens with CCFL lamps need a inverter to step-up to
high voltage (800-2200vac) and high frequency (33-61kHz)


1) Find the GND
   - usually the largest metal part/traces on the PCB
   - metal rim around screw hole is GND

2) Find the Power
   - usually protected by a fuse (F1 marking on PCB)
   - usually 12VDC
   - may be multiple/redundant lines tied together

3) Find the Enable
   - optional, may work without it
   - TTL, so probably 5V

4) Find the Brightness
   - optional, will probably operate at full-brightness without it
   - try 2.5V first, more/less should control brightness
