Use Seagate DockStar as NAS without Pogoplug service

...because it's allot faster and not "in the cloud"

Plug a USB drive into your computer and format it with NTFS

Plug the drive into DockStar, wait about 30 seconds, then unplug it

Plug the drive into your computer, view hidden files,
erase everything within the .cedata folder, but leave the folder
open the .ceid file in the root of the drive with notepad
erase everything in the file and put the following lines...

servicename=yoursharename
xcode.metadata=never
xcode.thumbnail=never
xcode.stream=never
cifs.mode=rw

Note:
=yoursharename can be whatever you want
=rw allows reading and writing

Plug the USB drive into DockStar,
Now it's available as: \\IP_Address\yoursharename_ or: \\fadsMMMMMM\yoursharename_
where MMMMMM are the last 6 characters of the DockStar MAC (see label on bottom)
